Our story
Fewer things, made honestly
Korela
We would rather make one thing properly than ten things quickly.
Korela began with a plain frustration: most of what fills a home is designed to be replaced. The scent fades wrong, the linen pills after a season, the label lists a proprietary blend and tells you nothing at all.
So we work the other way around. We choose a raw material we can name in full, find the maker who understands it best, and produce in runs small enough that every piece can be handled before it leaves. Fragrance, home and textiles — three families, kept deliberately narrow.
Nothing here is designed to be seasonal. If a piece is worth making, it is worth making again next year, and the year after that.
How we work
01
Raw materials
We start with the material and let it decide the form. Nothing is added to make a piece look like more than it is.
02
Small batches
Everything is made in runs small enough to be checked by hand. It means less of everything, made better.
03
Named in full
What is in a piece is printed on it. No proprietary blends, no vague language, no room to hide.
On materials
We favour materials that age rather than wear out — unglazed clay, washed linen, amber glass, natural wax. They mark, they soften, they take on the shape of the room they live in. That is the point.
Packaging follows the same rule. Recycled, recyclable, and stripped of anything that exists only to look expensive on arrival.
